Ministry Compliance

Our Ministry conducts annual compliance inspections for all Ministry-funded service agencies, which took place this year from October 15 through 25, 2018.

These inspections are conducted under the Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, 2008 (SIPDDA). The specific standards of care and safety requirements that agencies are required to comply with are set out in Ontario Regulation 299/10 Quality Assurance Measures (QAM) and/or in policy directives. QAM is broken down into 'indicators' that explain in specific detail what agencies need to have in place in areas such as Policies and Procedures, Board Records, Staff/Volunteer Records and Individual Records. We were measured against 279 indicators.

We are pleased to report that Niagara Support Services was found to be IN COMPLIANCE with all legislative requirements.
