This program provides supports to individuals with a variety of needs and abilities, primarily through recreation-based programs. The goal of the program is to tap into each participant's skill level to enhance and maintain their emotional, physical, social and intellectual wellbeing. Some of the activities include:

  • Knitting, corking, sewing, arts and crafts
  • Puzzles, card games, board games, matching games
  • Pictorial cards, signing
  • Typing on the computer
  • Basketball, aerobics, ping pong, bowling

The participants are also involved in community-based activities such as:

  • Visiting the local library
  • Grocery and craft shopping
  • Special event trips to local destinations such as the cinema, fire station, pumpkin patch, and petting farms

Staff promote socialization by involving participants in arts and crafts, group music therapy, and group discussions.
