This program is dedicated to integrating children with special needs into community childcare programs throughout Niagara Falls, Thorold, and Fort Erie.

  • Highly skilled resource consultants will maximize the growth and development of each child while working closely with parents, specialists, and childcare staff to create an inclusive environment.
  • Resource consultants also assist in programming development, providing information, and connecting families with other community supports such as camps, after-school programs, and training.
  • Niagara Support Services—Preschool Services, in cooperation with the District School Board of Niagara, has established a transition process to assist families as their child moves into a school board setting.

In conjunction with the District School Board of Niagara, Niagara Support Services operates an alternative education classroom at the Donald L. Reilly Centre for children between the ages of six and thirteen years with the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

This unique educational program provides for a combination of direct teaching sessions with movement education opportunities based on the Invisible Curriculum that ultimately will assist students with their transition back to their home schools.
