NSS-NTEC Administration Office

Niagara Support Services (NSS) is a not-for-profit, accredited organization with the mandate of providing services for people with a developmental disability.

NSS currently provides a host of programs and services, including residential, family support, preschool, day services, as well as extracurricular activities such as the Night Out program and Sports 4 Fun. Approximately 450 individuals and their families benefit from these programs.

NSS is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representing the corporation's interests and ensuring the agency is carrying out its goals, objectives and policies. Our Chief Executive Officer oversees the daily operations of all agency programs and services. In 1997, NSS formed an alliance with Niagara Training & Employment Agency (NTEC) to work together towards providing a broader spectrum of services for people with special needs in Niagara. A series of shared Vision, Mission and Value Statements guide our planning.

Niagara Support Services is a member of OASIS (Ontario Agencies Supporting Individual with Special Needs), a provincial body with the following Vision and Mission Statements:

VISION
Strong, viable, accountable agencies who have the resources and professional competencies to provide quality supports and services to people with special needs.

MISSION
OASIS provides leadership through sharing ideas, information and knowledge, and interacts with government and other organizations on issues affecting its members.

Our current Past President, Judy Reid, has a seat on the OASIS Board of Directors as Vice President.
